Few of my favourite things

Hey guys! This is just a quick post. So as some of you may have noticed I have a new blog layout. I have been really inspired lately and it made think that it's time for a change. I actually made a collage for a background of all my favourite things like Mumford and Sons, two door cinema club, Cosmo, H'n'M and a collection of my favourite pictures. I hope you all like it. Please leave your comments and tell me what you think. I will be posting soon. I am getting my hair done this weekend so if that turns out good I shall be doing a post. 

Shabby jean shorts

Today I thought I would do a quick post to show you make vintages jeans shorts. They have become very popular  and making them yourself is a great way to stay in fashion and save money.

You get an old pair of jeans, any shape or style (really old ones look the best because then you have the vintage look). Measure them against your leg to see how long or short you want them  and then cut them. Make sure its the same each side by cutting one leg then folding that over and use it as a guide line.

After you have done this then put them in the wash and this will make them fray. Then while they are wet you can either just pull them to make it look shabby or you can get a needle and unpick it form the bottom to get a more even fray 

And thats it!You can wear them with anything you want but here is how I have worn them recently to give you some ideas.

The royal wedding

Today it was finally the Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William . They have been engaged since November and have finally tied the  knot. I watched the wedding all the way through and I thought it was amazing. I have found some pictures to show you guys who didn't watch it .

I thought her dress was beautiful. She was wearing a dress designed by Sarah Burton with full length lace sleeves, beautiful detail all over and to my knowledge I think she was wearing the Queen Mothers tiara.

Summer fun

1. HAPPY EASTER!! yay its easter sunday!!I love easter because its always such a nice day. I have been eating lots of chocolate and spending time with the family.
2. Yesterday I went my very good friend Ife's house. If you are a reader of my blog then you will know that spend a lot of time with her. It was her15th birthday on Tuesday and she decided to have a BBQ with all of us. It was such a laugh.The weather was great, the food was lush, all our favorite songs playing on the stereo, it couldn't of been better.
3. The weather this week has been amazing so I decided to make some shorts. My mum gave me some old Levi jeans and I thought it would be good to cut them into shorts and they tuned out quite well I thought.
4. This easter holiday has just been great apart from all the revision and coursework I had to do!! We go back to school on Tuesday and I have two exams but after that we only have two day left because of the bank holiday for the royal wedding!!

Sunshine

Toady was absolutely amazing. Me and my good friend Ife (http://livinginwonderlandx.blogspot.com/2011/04/vintagefairssunnyday.html) spent the day together round my area. We went to this vintage fair and it was fabulous. I got some really nice bargains ( I will do some posts later with these items). We then took a wonder round Wolverton, seen the weather was so nice. One of the places we went to was the secret gardens. Its a beautiful place in a sunny day right next to the river. Me and my family take long strolls here in the summer. This week has been so nice, the weather has been great. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
